For more than 35 years, LEROY-SOMER has specialised in power control and conversion, and has developed photovoltaic energy conversion solutions ranging between 70 kWp and 1750 kWp. To enhance system efficiency over a wide radiation range, a separate inverter module or set of inverter modules with around 20% of the array peak power is used during low light conditions.
A set of inverter modules corresponding to 100% of the peak power automatically switches in above a defined threshold.
The MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) controller constantly adjusts the optimum efficiency as a function of the power received to convert.
As the inverters are made up of standard modules with identical power ratings, products are usually available from stock or with short lead times. This modular design means that maintenance carried out on one of the modules does not affect the whole inverter.
Our grid tie inverter technology uses standard modules from the industrial range, offering advantages both in terms of cost and widely proven reliability.
Photovoltaic installations are designed for an operational life of more than 20 years. The company's longevity, first-class performance and product reliability build customer confidence, whilst worldwide support and optional service packages deliver an assurance of optimum performance during the whole life of the product.
LEROY-SOMER drive systems: motors, servomotors, gearboxes and variable speed drives directing solar trackers can increase performance by up to 40% by continuously monitoring and tracking the sun at its azimuth/zenith (daily/seasonal basis).
